Rufus Lake Dock and Boat Launch Replacement

Scope of work

• The Ministry requires construction services to deem an unsafe dock/boat safe to the public at Rufus Lake. These services require the demobilization of the current timber wooden dock and installation of a new permanent dock and concrete boat launch slab. Purpose of this project is to provide a safe, durable, and permanent dock and concrete boat launch to ensure public safety. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals required to complete the following work: Removal and Disposal: Safely remove the existing timber dock and associated components, dispose of materials at approved facilities, and restore the site to a safe and clean condition. Permanent Dock: Design (as required) and construct a new permanent dock suitable for high public use and local environmental conditions, using durable, low maintenance materials. The dock shall be securely anchored, accommodate seasonal water level fluctuations, and meet applicable safety, accessibility, and Ministry standards. Concrete Boat Launch: Construct a concrete boat launch ramp suitable for trailered boats, including proper slope, surface texture, and edge treatments. The ramp shall be installed on a prepared sub base designed to withstand freeze thaw conditions and integrate with the dock layout. All work shall comply with applicable federal and provincial environmental legislation and include measures to prevent sedimentation, erosion, and water contamination. Upon completion, the site shall be left clean, safe, and fully functional.
